07/17/2020 $1,500 White and RGB Build List

We were under budget with the other $1,500 list so I guess we are making up for that here. Nice solid R7 3700X/2070 Super Build. This is very similar to my personal gaming build and it rips through anything I throw at it.


CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($279.30 @ Amazon*)

Motherboard: Asus TUF X570-PLUS ATX ($184.95 @ Amazon*)

Memory: Crucial Ballistix RGB 16 GB DDR4-3600 CL16 ($95.59 @ Amazon*)

Storage: Patriot VPN100 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME SSD ($79.98 @ Amazon*)

Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM HDD ($58.04 @ Amazon*)

Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB GAMING X ($649.66 @ Amazon*)

Case: Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh White ATX Mid Tower ($99.99 @ Amazon*)

Power Supply: SeaSonic 550 W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX ($116.49 @ Amazon*)

Case Fan: Noctua NF-A12x15 FLX 55.44 CFM 120 mm Fan ($19.95 @ Amazon*)


Optional: EDUP WiFi and Bluetooth Adapter PCI-E ($29.99 @ Amazon*)


Total: $1577.87**


Write up:


CPU: I went with the 3700x because it is a 8 core 16 thread beast of a chip for under $300


Motherboard: I went with the Asus because of the price and features. Not to mention the X570 is the most feature rich AM4 Chipset.


Memory: A fox list wouldn’t be complete without at least 16GB of memory and the GCrucial Ballistix rips along at 3600mhz ensuring the CPU isn’t RAM bottlenecked while providing great RGB


Storage: As Always for this price point I am pairing a 512 NVME with a 2TB HDD. Put your system and programs on the NVME and put your files and games on the HDD and yes, the NVME had DRAM


Video Card: I went with the 2070 Super because it is a Power House on par with last generation’s 1080ti and the Gaming X has awesome RGB

Case: I love the NZXT H510. It is a beautiful and elegant case which is also great for new builders and veterans alike with its easy cable management. It comes with 2 exhaust fans and I included 2 140mm intake fans for you to put in the front of the case


Case: The Cooler Master Case is a beautiful and elegant case which is also great for new builders and veterans alike with its easy cable management. It comes with 3 rgb intake fans and I included a 120mm Noctua for the rear exhaust


Power Supply: When I saw the price for this fully modular PSU I couldn’t not put it on the list.


Case Fans: Just a simple 120mm for the exhaust as the case comes with 3 intake fans.


Conclusion: This is a solid Gaming PC that will run most titles on High to Ultra settings.
