Write Up:
CPU:
The 3700x offers an 8-core 16-thread overclockable performance that will breeze through almost any workload with ease.
Motherboard:
This board from Gigabyte is a premium X570 board with almost every feature you could want except maybe WIFI and Bluetooth 5.0, but we address that in the optional WIFI card.
Memory:
This 16GB DDR4-3600 kit from G.Skill is the sweet spot for Ryzen CPUs to ensure the CPU is speeding right through all the Chrome Tabs you can throw at it (within reason lol)
Storage (SSD):
This 500GB NVME SSD drive from Patriot has 512MB of cache (DRAM). This is the drive to install your system and your main games and programs to ensure the pc is speeding along for years to come.
Storage (HDD):
The Seagate Barracuda 2TB is a mainstay on my lists. This is the drive to put everything you don’t want clogging up your NVME. Games, songs, stream sources…. Any files that aren’t as demanding. HDDs get a lot of flak—a lot of builders switching to a single 1TB NVME. But the price to performance and storage of the Barracuda HDD is unbeatable. HDDs are great at one program at a time. If all you’re doing is loading a game, just playing a song, only loading a stream source… HDDs are fantastic for single tasks.
Video Card:
This 2070 Super from Gigabyte is a reliable high-tier video card that will breeze through most games at high to ultra settings. The RTX 2070 Super also has a Turing NVENC encoder that can take the stream encoding load off the GPU and the CPU for you aspiring streamers.
Case:
Most of you know by now that I love the NZXT H510. I love putting two 140mm fans in the front and having a nice positive pressure case to keep the dust out. The intakes up front are more than big enough. Just don’t put it right up against a wall or on the carpet. There has been testing that shows that the stock cooling set up with negative pressure using only the two stock 120mm fans as exhausts runs cold and that adding two 140mm fans from the front doesn’t add much in the way of cooling. But, I see it as worth the extra $20 as the two additional fans create a positive pressure case where the intake is filtered, keeping dust out of the case keeps things cool longer and with less cleaning and more gaming.

EVGA has a dependable 600W 80+ Bronze power supply here. It has enough power for today and upgrades tomorrow.

Optional WIFI Card:
This little card is fantastic. I have one in all of my personal builds. The Bluetooth connectivity is impressive. I have had uninterrupted connectivity throughout my house. So if I am working in the office and then go to the kitchen to grab a snack, my music is still playing through my headphones.
